Careers & Employability

Welcome to the School of Food Science and Nutrition Careers and Employability page for current students. There are lots of useful resources, information and contacts on these pages that can help you to identify and secure a career that suits you, your ambitions and your skills.

You will be able to see what current employers have to say about what they look for in a prospective employee and get some tips and advice from our previous students that have experienced the job markets of today.

You can also explore the various ways in which you can develop your skills and enhance your CV, and take a look at the useful resources and employer profiles that can give you a head start in deciding the right career path for you.

Book a meeting with a careers advisor
Over the next term Caroline Williams, the School’s designated careers consultant, will be offering 30 minute long drop-in sessions in place of the usual shorter drop-in sessions held in the School of Food Science and Nutrition. The longer sessions will be held at the careers centre (Cromer Terrace) and can now be booked via the online booking form.

As always, Laura Pearson is available to discuss employability related queries.  Please contact her directly to arrange a meeting (l.pearson@leeds.ac.uk)
