Welcome to the School of Food Science and Nutrition Careers and Employability page for current students. There are lots of useful resources, information and contacts on these pages that can help you to identify and secure a career that suits you, your ambitions and your skills.

Book a meeting with a careers advisor

Over the next term Caroline Williams, the School’s designated careers consultant, will be offering 30 minute long drop-in sessions in place of the usual shorter drop-in sessions held in the School of Food Science and Nutrition. The longer sessions will be held at the careers centre (Cromer Terrace) and can now be booked via the online booking form. As always, Laura Pearson is available to discuss employability related queries.  Please contact her directly to arrange a meeting (


The School’s Designated Employability Enhancement Officer

Laura Pearson is the School of Food Science and Nutrition’s Employability Enhancement Officer. She is available to give help and advice related to employment and finding industrial placements. She can help with checking C.V.s and online applications, posting relevant job and placement opportunities, or giving advice on assessment centres and can give you advice on developing your skills and personal attributes.
